    Gerald S. Mayer, Ph.D.

Dr. Mayer is a licensed psychologist in private practice since 1987. He is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor, an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor.

Dr. Mayer holds a Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association College of Professional Psychology, and is also listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

He works with individuals, couples, and groups in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, addictive disorders, and men's issues.

Dr. Mayer is a member of the faculty at the University of Phoenix, where he teaches in the Master of Counseling Program.
He is a frequent public speaker and is the author of several books and articles.
