The misuse of Personal Health Information (PHI) has been identified as a national problem, causing patients inconvenience, aggravation, and money. We want you to know that we undergo training so that we may understand and comply with government rules and regulations regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) with particular emphasis on the “Privacy Rule.” We strive to achieve the very highest standards of ethics and integrity in performing services for our clients.

It is our policy to properly determine appropriate uses of PHI in accordance with governmental rules, laws, and regulations. We want to ensure that our practices never contribute to the improper disclosure of PHI. Since our practices are independent, each of us may have somewhat different approaches to protecting your PHI from improper disclosure. Also, each of us serves as the Privacy Officer for our own practice. Should you have any concern that an event in any way compromises the integrity of our respective privacy policy, please bring it to the attention of the appropriate practitioner immediately.
